This biosensor is built to sense C-12 AHL which originates from Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It uses GFP as a reporter, and constitutively express Rhl receptor. When binding with AHL molecules, Rhl receptor will regulate promoter sequence(pRhl) and express GFP which can be detected. A positive-feedback design is involved in order to sense low-level AHL.
